Obama’s 2011 budget request released
February 2, 2010
The Obama administration has released its 2011 budget request. A few early analyses and resources:
- The ONDCP commends the administration’s “balanced approach” to the “drug control” budget. (Surprise!) See press release, highlights (pdf), and factsheet (pdf).
- The Marijuana Policy Project blog notes that the request includes “$3.5 million less for the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign than [Obama] did in fiscal 2010,” adding that “[t]he media campaign, which is run by the drug czar’s office, has for years emptied its coffers on absurd anti-marijuana advertisements that veer so far from the truth they’re laughable.”
- Adam Isacson at the Center for International Policy has a great overview of the foreign operations request for Latin America and the Caribbean:
More to come.
